God’s strength – verses to remind us of His awesome and never ending strength.
Why is it that the simplest lessons are the easiest to forget? One would think that it would be easy to remember a simple truth.
I’ve found that’s not necessarily the case. Lately, I’ve been forgetting the simple fact that my strength is not enough to handle everything that comes my way. It just isn’t. I’ve tried to use my own strength before but inevitably I crash and burn. As evidenced on my latest trip.
Because we’re only human we get overwhelmed, tired, burnt out and stressed. Negative situations and day to day worries can seem really hard and sometimes you might wonder how you’re going to do it all. But what I keep forgetting is that I actually don’t need to worry how I’m going to get through it all when I feel so tired and overwhelmed because God has enough strength to cover what I lack.
Doesn’t that just feel such a relief? It does to me, knowing that I actually have an awesome power behind me lending the strength that I need.
Such a simple truth but easy to forget. And perhaps hard to grasp sometimes. But very true and very amazing. God’s got it. God’s strength is more than enough!
Below are some verses that can help to remind us of God’s strength. Or let you know that there is a powerful God who loves you if you don’t yet know.
1. Psalm 28. 7
‘The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and He helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise Him.’
2. Philippians 4. 13
‘I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.’
3. Isaiah 40. 31
‘But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not be faint.’
4. Psalm 73. 26
‘My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.’
5. Joshua 1. 9
‘Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; be not frightened, neither be dismayed; for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.’
6. Isaiah 41. 10
‘So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’
7. Exodus 15. 2
‘The Lord is my strength and my defense; He has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise Him, my Father’s God, and I will exalt Him.’
8. Psalm 55. 22
‘Cast your cares on the Lord and He will sustain you; He will never let the righteous b shaken.’
9. Psalm 27. 1
‘The Lord is my light and my salvation – whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?’
10. Isaiah 43. 2
‘When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through the fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you.’
Remember that you don’t need to do everything on your own strength (God’s strength is enough) and you can take anything and everything to Him.
I hope you all have a lovely week! And as always, thank you for stopping by.
Until next time lovelies!
